Our 2023 9 Hole Ladies Day was held on Wednesday 31st May and, luckily, the weather held off reasonably well for the morning. The field was small this year but I am sure everyone enjoyed the golf and the company.
The winners this year were Hazel Meiklejohn and Therese Clarke with 15 on a countback from Karen Newman and Diane Pattison who also had 15. Coming third, also on a countback, were Val Warren and Jan Black with 15 points. All these winners are Pinjarra ladies,
The novelties were won by Wendy Curtis & Shelley Fitzgerald with a great long drive on #5 and the long putt on #9 was won by Jenny Fernley from Mandurah and her partner Paulina Slivkoff from Pinjarra. This was Paulina’s first ever major golf event so well done Paulina.
A big thank you to our major sponsor for the second year running, Greg from Liquor Traders Australia for the lovely wine we were given to use for our trophies. Also a huge thank you to the Pinjarra ladies who gave so generously towards our raffles. The 9 Hole ladies are also due a big thank you, donating the lovely assortment of sweets we enjoyed on the day and the muffins and biscuits we enjoyed with our morning cuppa.
Because of this generosity we were able to make a really good profit for our Club of $1,025.24.
